An incredible 30 thousand children die every single day. If that figure shocks you, then you can do something to help: support the UK charity REDAID.
REDAID exists to fulfill a single aim: to help those affected by poverty, sickness, homelessness and hunger. Around the world, 1.5 billion people are not able to drink clean water; 120 million children work full time jobs from as young as 5 years old; 34.7 million of those children have lost at least one parent to AIDS.

The organisation provides both emergency aid in the event of a disaster and longterm support through education and housing. And their work is not just focused on countries far away from home – REDAID care just as much about the poor on our own doorstep. Where help is needed, they strive to provide it.
In a time when 3 billion people survive on less than £1 a day, whatever you can spare can make a real difference to someone’s life.

How the charity works

Aside from accepting one-off and regular donations, REDAID offers the opportunity for you to lend money to them and see a 10% return on top of your loan if you wish. ‘Venture Philanthropists’ allow the organisation to commit to larger projects, to have them finished quicker and to help even more people.
You can help in small ways, too – remember REDAID when selling through eBay and donate some of your sale income to help those far less fortunate.
